For those who didn't get to the Almuña Christmas Fair, the last of Sarah DeGraaf-Hunter´s lovely Indian Textiles and silver Jewellery will be on sale at Madeline Humphries house Calle Teodoro de Molina 9 (opposite The Casablanca) on Wednesday, 15th December, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. All items - bedspreads, cushion covers, table cloths, mats, napkins, silk scarves and silver jewellery will be at rock-bottom prices as Sarah wants to clear her stock before returning to India in January to buy lots more lovely Indian things.

Saturday, December 4, at 7 p.m., the book “Gaucín en Flor” by Francisco Benítez Márquez will be presented to the public in the Bar El Puente. The book has marvelous color plates not only of the flowers of the region, but also of the town. The book is on sale in the Papelería.

It will be on Saturday, 4 December at 10:30 p.m. in the Peña Flamenca (next door to the Post Office.)
The artistas are the following: Singing (Al cante) – Antonio Macías, Carlos Macías Flores y José Manuel Blanco. Guitarists (Al toque) – Eduardo Macías y Cesareo Mejías. Presented by Francisco Prieto in colaboration with the Peña Flamenca de Gaucin.

Sunday, 5 December: 10:30 hras. To the River Genal. Approximately 3.5 hours. Leaving from the Town Hall. Terrain: open fields. Difficulty: high – long climb back to the village.
Saturday 11 December: 10:30 La Umbria. Approximately 2 hours. Leaving from Health Center, Portesuelo. Terrain: woods. Difficulty: easy - Forest walk, easy going.
Sunday 19 December: 10:30-Around the Hacho. Approximately 2.5 hours. Leaving from the gas station. Terrain: mountain and plain. Difficulty: medium – Up the m ountain, down thru pasture land, 30 minutes climb to start.

As is the custom, the first Friday of every month there will be mass in the ermita of the castle. Friday, December 3, at 5 p.m. the mass will be held. Don´t miss it. In case of rain, the mass will be held in the church at 6 p.m.
