In May 2007 the elections will be held, which will be our chance to get a new mayor! So it's time to prepare a political program.
I'll be an ineligible number 6 on the PSOE list to support their candidate for mayor, Teodoro de Molina de Molina. Indeed, some might recognize the name, as the street Casa Blanca is in was called that way, after his great great grand father. He was born and raised in Gaucín, but left to climb up to be the chairman of the FAECTA, the Federation of Cooperatives in Andaucia. As such he's got managerial qualities and lots of contacts on levels of the Province and the Junta Andalucia. He could be the man to see to it that Gaucín finally sets up a TRANSPARENT, OPEN-MINDED and HONEST policy-making process, based on a REAL and FINANCIALLY WELL-BASED PROGRAMM.
The list of the PSOE consists of representatives of youngsters, women, the elderly and they asked me to be the intermediary person for the foreigners. Now I do think that the foreigners living in Gaucín are as much Gaucineños as the Gaucineños themselves, we are all in the same boat, so I don't want to put the ex-pats in a special corner or in a position separate from any other citizen.
I guess it is just easier for me to approach you, so I can pass your message on to the Assembly of the PSOE, whilst we are making our program for Gaucín.
For that reason I ASK YOUR OPINION about what you think should happen in Gaucín and what Gaucín should stand for in a broader sense within the community.
Thank you for any suggestions you make and hope to see you all voting on the 27th of May!
Jorrian
