03/07/2007 Archived Article: "The Partido Popular presents its candidates for the mayoral election in May"
At a tapas party last Sunday in the Bar Pajuelo, the Partido Popular introduced the candidates and discussed some of the themes for the election in May, emphasizing fiscal responsibility. When the PP last held office, 8 years ago, it left the town a surplus of some 75 million pesetas, and the party promises to return the town to fiscal surplus. The meeting began with the nomination of the candidate for mayor, D. Francisco Ruiz Sanchez.
Then the former president of the P.P. spoke on past accomplishments and hopes for the furture. Finally, the mayoral candidate spoke, thanking the assembled for their support, and he presented the other candidates on the list.
