25/06/2007 Archived Article: "PAD Gaucín cleared 3755,63 Euros from Saturday´s Garage Boot sale"
 The local Pets Protection Program spent 10 Euros on expenses for paper and balloons. The profit came from selling coffee and cake plus donations on Saturday 23d of June in the Municipal Hall. More benefit is expected from a sale by Bonham in London of a donated picture and an antique box of playing card. The balance of PAD Gaucín now is 4.679,48 Euros, which will be used to fund the dog rescue and dog/cat sterilization program.
PAD would like to thank everyone who turned this event in a success:
* the Town Hall of Gaucín for allowing us to use the Municipal Hall for free
* Supermercado Coviran for supplying the electricity needed for making coffee
* Jacinto for the use of his tables and chairs
* Criseba for lending scaffolding material
* all who helped us building up and clearing the Sale
* all who generously gave goods and donations
* all who bought things.
Please spread the word that PAD Gaucín:
* pays for spaying and neutering dogs and cats in the Municipality of Gaucín
* pays for fostering street cats and abandoned/lost dogs, while we are searching for a home
* donates money to the dog shelters of Prodean in La Linea and Adana in Estepona, when we bring a cat or dog we failed to find a home for.
Help us:
* catching abandoned/lost dogs to find a home and to treat them, when they are in a bad condition
* catching/transporting street cats to the vet for treatment, sterilization or euthanasia (if needed).
