11/10/2007 Archived Article: "Carolers wanted for annual villancico sing-off"
The Festival of Villancicos (Spanish Christmas Carols) of the Serranía de Ronda will be held this year in Jimera de Libar, on Saturday, 22 December, at 6 pm. At the event the singing is followed by a merienda.
Rehearsals will be held on Sunday mornings in the Convento following Mass, around 12.50. Each rehearsal will last about 30 minutes, giving ample opportunity to get to lunchtime appointments.
You do not need to be able to read music, have a fantastic voice or have had any experience. The carols have catchy tunes, and it is all meant to be fun. If you would like to participate this year, please contact Susan Elvin: elvins@avired.com or 952 151 609.
