12/01/2007 Archived Article: "A show of bird photographs of the Serranía de Ronda opened last night in the restaurant la Fructuosa"

The photographer, Juan Luis Muñóz, who lives in Ronda but is a cordobés, has been fascinated by birds since his earliest youth. He put his camera on a telescope and get some amazing shots. In his own words, “I go to the middle of a pasture, from dawn until 10:30 a.m. I see quite a bit of movement, & I photograph everything that moves around me within 100 metros, with good Light and no wind.... Some birds pose in their nests, & others come very close. ... Sometimes my subjects are scared off by a kestrel or a sparrow hawk hunting nearby; In fact, the kestrel captured one of the little birds... The faraway sounds of hunters´ guns at times broke the silence of the mountain, along with the birdsong. . .”
