Sunday, 31 August: Romería (pilgrimage) to the Adelfilla (where St. John had his vision of the Santo Niño)
8.30 a.m.: The image of the Santo Niño is taken from the Castle
to the “La Plazoleta”
9 a.m.: The Romería begins down the old road to Gibraltar
To the Adelfilla
11 a.m.: Flamenco mass is said at the Ermita del Encuentro,
celebrated by our new parish priest, D. José Javier
Garcia Pascual
12 a.m.: The fiesta begins, with the musician “Juan Jesús”
And the flamenco choir from Cortes de la Fra.
1 p.m.: Free Paella for everyone
5.30 p.m.: The Romería returns to Gaucin via the roman road
and takes the image to the castle

From 31 August to 8 September: Solemn novena in honour of the Santo Niño and San Juan de Dios.
At 8 p.m., beginning 1 September, in the chapel at the Castillo, the Novena and holy mass

Saturday, 6 September:
8 p.m.: Seventh day of the Novena in the chapel at the Castle,
Celebrated by our new parish priest, D. José Javier
Garcia Pascual
11 p.m.: Verbena Popular in the Plaza, with “Natural Orquesta”

Sunday, 7 September:
9.30 a.m.: Diana floreada (parade) thru the streets by the
Banda Municipal “Villa de Gaucín”
5 to 7 p.m.: Extraordinary General Assembly with elections,
in the parish hall
11 p.m.: Verbena Popular in the Plaza, with
“Natural Orquesta” y “Trio Latidos”

Monday, 8 September:
9.30 a.m.: Diana floreada thru the streets by the Banda Municipal
“Villa de Gaucín”
12 a.m.: Holy Mass in the parish church
1 p.m.: Concentration of Bandas de Música in the Plaza del Santo Niño
5 p.m.: Solemn procession of the images of the Santo Niño and
San Juan de Dios thru the streets of the village,
that will end in the chapel of the castle. Once there,
the last day of the Novena and Holy Mass will be celebrated
11 p.m.: Verbena Popular in the Plaza, with
“Natural Orquesta” y “Trio Latidos”
