09/02/2009 Archived Article: "The Casa Hermandad del Santo Niño will open March 7 at 9 p.m."

After the processión that takes the relics of San Juan de Diós down from the Castle to the Church, the new center will be blessed by the parish priest, D. Javier García Pascual, and then drinks will be served to the members of the sodality.
The schedule for the annual festivities in honor of St. John of God are the following:
Saturday, March 7
• 7:30 p.m. Procesión from the castle to the church. Mass in the church.
• 8:30 p.m. Inauguration of the new quarters of the Hermandad situated at calle Lorenzo García,
Next to the Post Office. Drinks will be offered to all in attendance.
• 11:00 p.m. Verbena in the Convent, with music by the dúo “Latidos”.

Sunday, March 8
• 12:00 a.m. Solemn Mass in honor of San Juan de Dios officiated by the parish priest D. Javier García Pascual. After Mass memorial plaques in honor of services rendered with be awarded to the junta directiva of the years 1985-1988, as well as the sodality of the Ilustre Colegio de Enfermería de Málaga, whose patron is San Juan de Dios and representing this sodality the following will speak; o D. Juan Antonio Astorga Sánchez (Presidente del colegio)
o D. Juan Ignacio Vázquez Díaz (Presidente de Honor del colegio)
