06/08/2009 Archived Article: "Corpus Christi will be celebrated next Sunday, 14 June, with a procession"

For the feast of Corpus Christi, mass Hill be at 11 a.m. (instead of noon,)and it Hill be followed by a procession with the traditional itinerary: C/ Alta, Puerto del pan, Esquina de Matías, bajo del Pilar, Llana, Larga, and ending at the Church. The procession is something very beautiful and traditional, and citizens are asked to adorn their balconies and façades with hangings and flowers, and to make little altars on the streets where the processions passes. Decorating the pueblo shows that we are having a festive day and that the Lord is present in Gaucín.
