13/02/2010 Archived Article: "The Touristic Initiatives Association begins new projects for the year"

 The monthly market begins again on March 6th and will continue on the first Saturday of each month. Anyone who wishes to sell produce from his garden or handicrafts, but for one reason or another doesn’t want to do it directly, we will sell for you from our market spot.
 Let’s Go on Tuesdays. With each new activity that we organize we are creating an opportunity for the members of the Association to get to know our village neighbours. We will met up once every two weeks in one of the many bars in the village to get to know each other better, exchange ideas, and add a little bit of spark to the life in Gaucín. The first get-together will be on Tuesday, February 16th, at 19:30 in the bar “Paco Pepe.”
 The cats are here, ready to begin engatusARTE. We will begin distributing them to members on Sunday, March 21st, in the Convent, beginning at 18:00. They will join the geckos in the streets of Gaucín starting the 15th of March. By the way, many of the geckos need a bit of restoration and loving care….
 The Village administration has now set the day for the celebration of the Bicentennial of the French Invasion. The festivities will be held on the 20th and 21st of March. A programme for the event will be published soon. Get ready to participate and, above all, put on a costume and take part during these days.

 We remind you that the Guided Walks are still taking place every weekend. It is a unique opportunity to get to know our environs and to make new friends.

As you know, the participation of each one of you is very important. Every gecko on a wall, every cat in a window, every stroll through the monthly market, every “bandolero´s” costume, every group that goes walking together, and every minute that you give to the Association and to Gaucín is important for our village.
