CASA CONVENTO - MIDDLE FLOOR (street level)
Entrance of the house: The 19th c. front door is from Ronda, with a "mirilla," a typical detail in Andalucian architecture: a brass cover slides open over a small circle to see outside to the street.
The floor is reclaimed old caustic tiles, also used on the stair risers to the first floor. An antique iron radiator, painted red, heats the zaguán. The beams are original from the house. Stairs go down into the Moroccan level below.
Library:beamed ceiling, tiled fireplace, built-in bookshelves.
The library opens onto the living room and the second bedroom.
Living room: huge French doors open onto the panoramic view of palm trees, countryside, Straits, Gibraltar and Africa, with the Crestellina mountain to the left, and the Espartina to the right.
Office: classic caustic tile floor, large French windows with view of the castle on the hill, as well as the panoramic view; a closet behind another Arabic arch with sink & refrigerator, copy machine.
Master bedroom:An antique door from Ronda, French windows with panoramic view, ceiling fan, heating and air conditioning, satellite TV. The bed faces the panoramic view.
